Sir,

I have to bring before your notice two cases in which Justice was not only denied me in one of the "Law Courts of the Colony, but in which I was treated with public contempt. Although I respectfully submit that my written testimony was in the hands of the Judge, which, far from corroborating my adversary's testimony, fully rebutted the evidence of my opponent, which was treated as Gospel, and on which, alone and unsupported, I was cast out of Court with contempt. My oath was treated as dust in the balance against that of my opponent.
